THE ILLUSTRATION BRIEF
Jamie goes off to fight in the First World War and returns with shell-shock. But the
love of his family and friends helps him find happiness in even the bleakest of times.
It’s the First World War. A young man is in a trench, wearing British Army uniform and
helmet. He is writing poetry, and looks hopeful as he remembers his family at home.
